Training For a Modern World
At CrossFit Guelph we want to help you live your life on your terms.
We all recognize that we live in an evironment that is not always conducive to our health. We sit for prolonged periods. We work hunched over computers and screens we drive too much and walk too little.
The realities of modern living contiribute to tight hamstrings, tight hips, weak cores, weak backs and tight chests. Unfortunately many of us have lost our innate ability to be strong, and move free of pain. We have come to accept that the aging process is one of decline.
THIS IS NOT THE WAY IT IS MEANT TO BE!
Whether old or young what we offer at CFG is a cure for and hedge against the reality of living in a modern world.
Our programming is strength and technique based and addresses the symptoms of modern life. We stress Safety and Technique, we layer in Intensity over time.
Older or Younger
Our mature ethletes find themselves performing better at work, sleeping better, and tend to rediscover the love of moving and play we all remember from our childhoods while our younger members find themselves becoming more competitive on their respective fields of play and learning that attention to detail and solid basics pay dividends in the long rong run.
Regardless of whether you are looking for an advantage at the office, playing with your grandkids or an advantage on the field, CFG has something for you.
We want to ensure that we are the right fit for you and that you are the right fit for us. For that reason we offer two seperate FREE TRIAL options for all potential members.
Attend our Sunday Funday class. This class is held every Sunday at 10 and is designed specifically to give beginners an introduction to the class structure and our comunity. The class itself follows the same structure as our regular classes and is broken into a warm up, a strength and or skill phase, a workout and then a stretch or cool down. The techniques in these classes are programmed for all levels.
If our Sunday Funday Free Trial class does not fit into your schedual we also offer Free one on one consultations. During your one one consultation we will discuss training goals, our methedology and then you will learn some of the basic and key movements of CrossFit. Additionally, we will also discuss and give examples of how we scale workouts for each individual.
